BIO

It’s hard to sum yourself up. I play so many different roles outside of photography, it’s hard to pigeonhole myself into one in particular.

Before a photographer, I’m a father and a husband. My family are my life blood and not only was I lucky enough to marry my dream girl & best friend, who supports me wholeheartedly in my endeavours (however stupid). I also have a son who not only shares my passion for photography, but my love of making light of a bad situation. Without these two people, I am nothing.

I was also lucky enough to have lived in Copa since I was born, hence the ocean photos. I was also born into a loving and supportive family, with our lives intertwined with the community as a whole. Those that live here know what this means to me, and I’m still an active member of the SLSC to this day, took last years Santa photos for the local schools P&C, and am embarking on another project to celebrate 60 years of Copa SLSC, as you can see in my other blog posts.

I’m a musician, releasing a long overdue album last year with my musical soulmate Jay Minogue, another in 2020, and hopefully another soon. It’s only lately that I’ve realised that music and photography go hand in hand, seeing the world a different way to others.

My family and I have been lucky enough to travel around a little, giving my son the joy of experiencing more countries by 5, than I had by 30. Hopefully 2024 is the year we finally get out again, after Covid (we got home from a month in the USA mere days before lockdown).

Lastly, I love my tattoos. I’ve spent the last handful of years being tattooed solely by Zack at Louie Lou Tattoo, Terrigal. Not only an amazing artist, but the entire shop, from manager Lou, through to all the artists, have become friends. Not something that I take lightly. All I can say is that if you want a tattoo experience that is about as far removed from the stereotype as possible, this is the only shop to visit.
